Is patient audio recording HIPAA compliant?

Do my patients need a My Medical Records AI account?
No. You can add standalone patients directly. If they later create an account, you can link them and they can choose which records to share with you.

What is the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) — and do I need one?
Yes — a signed BAA is required before using the platform with patient data, and it's built right into your account. Once your account is created, go to Settings → BAA to review and sign electronically; a signed PDF is generated for your records. Until it's signed, a reminder banner appears in your dashboard, and you can keep exploring during your trial.
